The Report on Waste from Economic Activities, now in its twenty-third edition, is the result of a complex activity of collection, analysis and processing of data by the National Centre for Waste and Circular Economy of ISPRA, with the contribution of regional and provincial Environmental Protection Agencies. EU Ecolabel indoor cleaning services in Italy: analysis, strong points and synergies with minimum environmental criteria (CAM)
On 2 May 2018 the Commission Decision 2018/680/EU establishing the criteria for awarding the EU Ecolabel to indoor cleaning services entered into force. Since then, 175 companies in this sector have been certified in Italy, accounting for 85% of all cleaning service licences issued in the EU. Behind this success is also the CAM issued in January 2021.

Tools for the implementaton of national priority criteria for ranking potentially contaminated sites
ISPRA, as required by the Art. 199 - paragraph 6, letter a) of Legislative Decree 152/06, states that Regional Remediation Plans of Polluted Areas (PRBs) must provide “an order of priority of interventions based on risk assessment criteria defined by ISPRA”. ISPRA priorities has started and concluded the first phase of developing risk assessment criteria as described in detail in the Report 365/2022

Efficiency and decarbonization indicators in Italy and in the biggest European Countries – Edition 2023
National trends of energy and economic indicators have been analysed in relation to greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption. Particular attention was paid to the power sector, one of the main players in the national energy system. The role of driving factors for GHG emission trends has been analyzed, such as economic growth, fossil and renewable energy, transformation efficiency, carbon and energy intensities. Regarding power sector, the emission factors of greenhouse gases have been elaborated. Efficiency and decarbonization indicators have been compared in Italy and in the biggest European Countries. The power sector performances of main European countries have been compared for fuel mixes, transformation efficiencies, and GHG emission factors.
