Dialogue with the public and stakeholders is, together with the improvement of environmental performance, the main objective of the EC Regulation 1221/2009 EMAS, whose general approach is based on the need for sharing, credibility and transparency. The Ecolabel Ecoaudit Committee, with the technical support of ISPRA, organized a discussion table via streaming on the theme "EMAS and Circular Economy" in order to offer at the organizations the opportunity to share concrete experiences of Circular Economy implemented in their own reality, highlighting the relationship with the EMAS Scheme, and making any proposals and suggestions to strengthen its effectiveness.

Three events with scientists and intellectuals On the occasion of World Biodiversty Day 2021 and within the week nature organized by the Ministry for Ecological Transition (MITE), ISPRA is organizing two events (20 and 22 May) where exponents of politics and science will meet and culture. The topic of debate, called "We are part of the Solution", aims to provide contributions relating to the loss of biodiversity, to promote the sustainable use of biodiversity itself and a fair and just sharing of the benefits deriving from it. The UN Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has chosen the slogan "We are part of the Solution". This slogan was decided to give continuity to that of the 2020 Day, "Our solutions are in nature", to emphasize that nature resides the answer to the challenges to proceed towards sustainable development.
A new tool from the research to address land consumption

LANDSUPPORT Technical dissemination workshop In the framework of the Horizon2020 project LANDSUPPORT a new innovative system has been developed to support sustainable agriculture and forestry, evaluate trade-off between land uses and contribute to the development and implementation of land use policies in Italy and Europe. It is a smart Geospatial CyberInfrastructure designed to support the decisions of administrations, urban planners and local communities and to raise awareness of this serious threat of degradation in Italy. The LANDSUPPORT platform is web-based and open-access, freely usable to support sustainable management of land resources with the aim to stop land consumption.
