EURING Analytical Conference 2009
Montesilvano (PE), September 14-20
This year, the Analytical EURING Meeting is organized by the
National Ringing Center of ISPRA, with the support of the Province
of Pescara.
Birds represent the animal group with the best marking / recapture
data set, with over a century of ringing activities, coordinated in
Europe by the EURING (www.euring.org). Since the 70s EURING
organizes every two years technical meetings addressing the methods
of analysis of marking / recapture data and the implementation of
the findings of such analysis for the conservation and management
of bird populations. The meetings also address the measuring of the
environmental effects of the global climate change. A broad
participation of scientists, engineers, wildlife traders and
international experts is expected.
