The geological effects of the April 6 earthquake in Abruzzo

Rome, May 25, ISPRA - Sala Fazzini, via Curtatone 3 The Department of Soil Defense of ISPRA - Geological Survey of Italy - is organizing a workshop addressing the effects of the recent geological seismic sequence in Abruzzo. The day aims to outline a shared framework in order to describe the geological effects of the seismic events, through the synthesis of data collected by geologists from many research institutions, universities and regional agencies. The discussion will be aimed at defining concrete proposals for making the contribution of Geology more effective and responsive to the needs of Civil Protection, both during this particular emergency phase and moreover in the prevention and preparedness to the earthquake.
