19/20 September, 2013: 21th Plenary Meeting of the Network of Directors of the European Environmental Agency (EPA network)

The ISPRA General Director Mr. Stefano Laporta is in Berlin to represent Italy at the meeting of EPA Network which brings together the leaders and directors of agencies for the protection of the environment and similar institutions in Europe.

The meeting aim to exchange opinions and experiences on environmental policy issues to develop synergies and facilitating collaboration among the various institutions.

Among the topics under discussion in this 21st meeting: - the 7th Environment Action Programme (EAP 7th), the revision of EU waste policy in 2014, and the air quality.

The Network is composed by 39 participating institutions from 33 European countries, including the European Agency for the Environment. The DG Environment of the European Commission is regularly invited to participate in the plenary meetings of the Network.
