The Marine project to bring together community responsibles for survey at sea

The activities of the project "Marine knowledge sharing platform" funded by the program "Science with and for Society" of the Community Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 are still continuing. The project, of which ISPRA is a partner, is coordinated by the Institute for Research on Population and Social Policies (IRPPS) of the National Research Council. The consortium of project involves 14 partners from 12 different Member States and countries associated with the H2020 program, who are committed to the goal of implementing the principles of responsible research and innovation (RRI) to improve citizen involvement in initiatives adopted by the European Commission to tackle the main and most current social challenges.

ISPRA, recognized for its institutional role of technical-scientific body which actively supports the implementation of EU directives in the environmental field, has been responsible for coordinating the work package called "Policy Mobilisation", concerning the participation of policy makers to the community of research and responsible innovation promoted by the MARINA project and the institutionalization of this concept, in order to improve the way you deal with problems from the political point of view, thanks to a greater sharing of decisions by all stakeholders.
