On January 10th 2019 the workshop "Land Degradation: Overview of international approaches and knowledge sharing" will take place at the University of International Studies of Rome - UNINT. The event is organized within the IUCLAND project financed by Erasmus + with the aim of fostering international cooperation between university partners from different countries (Italy, Slovakia, Croatia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) through the organization of workshops and summer schools dedicated to the theme of land degradation.
Land degradation is a global problem, affecting about a quarter of the world’s land area and impacts one out of three people, compromising welfare levels of populations that heavily depend on natural resources.
At the workshop will partecipate an Ispra expert.
