A multidisciplinary commission made up of 37 experts from 16 countries has produced a document “Food in the Anthropocene: the Eat-Lancet Commission on healthy diets from sustainable food systems”. which underlines the importance of a radical transformation of the global food system and defines five specific strategies for a "global" diet that respect human health and the planet.
The Lazio section of the Italian Society of Human Nutrition - SINU and CREA Food and Nutrition have identified the theme of the conference " Sustainable diet for human health and the planet: applicability and criticality of the document prepared by the EAT-Lancet Commission” as priority to offer theirs members an opportunity for discussion that goes beyond nutrients and that starting from the definition of "Global Diet" allow a vast reflection on nutritional recommendations and food policies.
At the meeting an Ispra expert will participate.
