Newsletter Plastic Buster MPAs project

The fifth issue of the Newsletter relating to the Plastic Busters MPAs Project has been released.

The 4-year project, started on 1 February 2018, is funded by the European Community INTERREG MED Cooperation and is coordinated by ISPRA. For the first time on a Mediterranean scale, EU countries and member States join forces to tackle marine litter with a coordinated approach.

This newsletter describes some significant project activities that are in progress, or that will soon be carried out, such as: the presentation of a new video made by ISPRA and laboratory activities on the samples collected during the marine litter monitoring campaigns, also carried out on board Astrea, last summer (ISPRA is specifically conducting the analysis of microplastics in fish)
