Piero Genovesi has been included in the list of the most cited researchers in the world by Clarivate, for the Environment and Ecology category (the only Italian in this category).
On the list for 2021 are 6,600 researchers from around the world who have demonstrated significant influence selected through highly cited publications over the past decade.
The list released today identifies researchers who have demonstrated significant influence in their field through the publication of numerous highly cited articles over the past decade. The names are taken from publications that rank in the top 1% for citations by field and year of publication in the #WebofScience citation index, focusing on a data analysis conducted by bibliometric experts and data scientists.
This year's list includes 24 Nobel laureates, five of which were announced this year. In the list there are 98 Italians.
