Climate change, energy transition: ISPRA/RENAEL memorandum of understanding signed
The President of ISPRA and SNPA, Prefect Stefano Laporta and the President of the National Network of Local Energy Agencies (RENAEL), Eng. Piergabriele Andreoli, have signed a memorandum of understanding, lasting three years, to strengthen their respective activities on the issues of mitigation and adaptation to climate change. The protocol provides, among other lines of activity, information and awareness-raising on sustainable mobility, energy transition, urban regeneration, environment and health and the dissemination of data and information on the priorities defined in the local plans for sustainable energy and climate .

ISPRA and RENAEL, based on their respective objectives, consider the adaptation of territories to climate change as a priority and urgent, so as to make them more resilient with everyone's contribution; the objective is to inform and raise awareness among local administrations on the economic, social and environmental benefits connected to the development of adaptation actions to climate change, sustainable mobility and all issues related to the ecological transition, but also on the reduction of risks associated with events increasingly frequent extreme climate events, thus favoring a reduction in costs linked to such events and contributing to the protection of the environment and sustainable economic growth.
