The new chair of Impel is an ISPRA researcher
The General Assembly of the European Union Network for the Implementation and Enforcement of Environmental Law (Impel), a European network that brings together 59 environmental authorities from 38 European countries, elected its new Chair, Marco Falconi, with a very large majority on 30 November. geologist from ISPRA, who already held the role of coordinator of the Expert Team on the topic of Water and Land in the association. Falconi takes over the Portuguese presidency from Ana Isabel Garcìa (Igamaot, General Inspectorate for the Sea, Agriculture, Environment and Territorial Planning) who the Italian delegation thanked for the balance and effectiveness highlighted in her mandate.
The Impel Network, financed by the European Commission and which has as Italian partners the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, the Single Commissioner for the reclamation of landfills, Arpa Lombardia, Assoarpa, in addition to ISPRA which carries out its national coordination, is proposes to promote the implementation and effective implementation of environmental legislation through collaboration in the field, the exchange of information and good practices between operators of public bodies with expertise in environmental matters in different countries.
This achievement reflects the recognition and appreciation of the vast Impel community towards the commitment of Italy members in the network, to promoting sustainable practices and addressing environmental challenges globally.
