FAO Forum on Food and Agriculture
October 12 It opens the World Food Week promoted by FAO. The future of food and agriculture expects massive challenges, to which world agriculture can not escape. To discuss about that and the appropriate strategies, FAO, the UN Food and Agriculture Agency, held for 12 and 13 October 2009, a high-level expert forum entitled "How to Feed the World in 2050 . At the Forum have been invited 300 leading experts from academia, non-governmental and business world, both from developed countries than in developing countries, whose task is to prepare the ground for the World Summit on Food Security, involving the heads of state of the planet, scheduled in Rome at the FAO, 16 to 18 November 2009. At the Forum also participates an expert of the ISPRA Defense of Nature Department.
