New publications of the European Environment Agency
In March, the European Environment Agency has
issued three reports concerning two of the main environmental
problems in Europe, water scarcity and air pollution.
The report, “Water resources across Europe - confronting
water scarcity and drought”, presented to the press during
the 5th World Water Forum just concluded in Istanbul, reveals that
in many parts of the continent, the use of this resource is
unsustainable.
The other two EEA reports deal with the air quality in Europe, the
first is about the concentration of PM10 and ozone in 2005, the
second's about the presence of ozone in summer 2008.
