The United Nations declared 2010 "International Year of
Biodiversity."
The initiative aims to increase the public awareness of the role
that biodiversity held in ensuring life on Earth and and also about
the importance of positive actions aimed at restoring habitats and
ecosystems.
Within these initiatives, ISPRA organized a conference on
biodiversity and soil, which was held in Rome on 10 February at
ISPRA's headquarters in via Curtatone.
