European Research Area (ERA): public consultation has been launched to break down barriers to research
September 20
According to the European Commissioner for Research and Innovation
Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, the need to improve European's
Economy is strictly related to the idea of getting the very best
out of our research. In order to finalize its proposal for an
enhanced ERA Framework to be published before the end of 2012 and
to optimize the coordination of research funding across Member
State borders, the European Commission has launched a public
consultation addressed to researchers and scientific community .
Some of the questions are: while looking for new opportunities do
researchers find themselves locked behind national borders? Are
scientists in need of new research infrastructures to perform and
test their ideas? Does the research community need more
opportunities to share views, realize new projects and create new
products and services?
The consultation will be opened until November 30th 2011 and is
