First Experimental Station of ISPRA in the Tyrrhenian
As part of the Agreement of Cooperation signed on May 9, 2014 between ISPRA - Department for Marine and Inland Waters Protection - and the Marine Protected Area (AMP) of Capo Carbonara (CA) concerning research activities related to the study of marine acidification, on December 3, 2014 the technicians of ISPRA and AMP, supported by the Association Locali Mari Nostru, have positioned in the sea an experimental station named "Sergio Silence" in memory of Dr. Sergio Silente that first initiated the study of the topic above in ISPRA.
