ISPRA meets the Korean delegation of the Parliamentary League on Children, Population and Environment Population and Environment and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea
The meeting was aimed to start a possible joint initiatives on the topic concerning global food security and the long-term sustainability of food production, based on a common shared agenda
In this context, Enrico de Zorzi, expert of ISPRA International Relations explained the structure, duties and role of the Agency and Lorenzo Ciccarese, expert for the Nature Protection Department illustrated the relationships between the primary sector ( agriculture and forestry) and environmental sustainability, the actions carried out by ISPRA on a national scale to reduce food waste .
The Korean delegation in Italy for a number of visits included in the initiative "Zero Hunger" and its goals of sustainable development, has particularly appreciated what emerged during the meeting and President Lee expressed willingness to act to put in touch Korean environmental Agency with ISPRA to explore possible opportunities for cooperation.
