Contamination by chemicals in the Mediterranean
ISPRA (ex ICRAM) is engaged in research for the assessment of the
levels of contamination by chemicals in the coastal marine waters
of the western Mediterranean Sea through the use of “sentinel
organisms” such as mussels (Mytilus galloprovincialis
Lam).
