Technical meeting
Assessing the suitability of soil and lands for energy purpose cutivations.
Bologna, April 23
On 23 April in Bologna, in collaboration with the Geological,
Seismic and Soil in the Region Emilia Romagna and Arpa Veneto,
there will be held a technical meeting on "Assessing soil and land
suitability for bioenergy crops "
During the morning will be discussed:
- the results of the collaboration between Arpa Veneto and ISPRA (former APAT) on the preparation of schemes for soil evaluation, with particular attention to environmental issues related to the possible spread of crops for energy purposes,
- other regional initiatives on the subject.
In the afternoon it will be open a discussion with representatives of the regions, in order to collect comments and suggestions on the proposal prepared by Arpa Veneto / ISPRA and verify their willingness to implement and validate the developed schemes on their regional territory, and thus taking part in their critical review.
