Awarded in England two underwater photos taken by ISPRA's researchers

Two photos taken by researchers working for ISPRA won the international prize associated with the Marine Imaging Workshop, held in Southampton (UK), at the National Oceanographic Center, from 7 to 11 April 2014. Out of all the photos submitted, in fact, those proposed by Michela Angiolillo and Simonepietro Canese got 2 awards, one for the best picture of the marine litter and the other as the absolute best picture. Both images were taken in Sardinia in the summer of 2013 through ROV technology during an oceanographic cruise conducted in collaboration with the University of Cagliari, to explore and describe the benthic communities of the deep rocky environments.
