The last February 25 was broadcast on French television ARTE the documentary "Armes chimiques sous la mer" . The survey investigates of one of the inheritance of the two world wars : more than a million and a half tons of chemical weapons still lying on the seabed, who are fretting and begin to release their poisonous contents, such mustard gas , sarin and arsenic compounds
The documentary shows the methodological multidisciplinary approach used by ISPRA, Institute for the Protection and Environmental Research, in the monitoring the marine environment interested by the construction of the first gas offshore in Italy.
Phytodepuration and phytcoremediation: plants and microorganisms allies of the sustainability
The Sixth Review Conference of the Convention on Nuclear Safety, started on March 24, is being held in Vienna at the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency of the UN), bringing together the 76 contracting States. The conference, held every three years, provides for the presentation and discussion of the national reports by the contracting states, organized into 6 working groups. Italy is included in the first group, together with Ireland, Holland, Switzerland, Argentina, Estonia, Sweden, Peru, United States, Singapore, Vietnam, Luxembourg and Bosnia Herzegovina. ISPRA's Nuclear Safety Authority will take part at the meeting representing Italy nationwide.
