ISPRA has presented today  at the Auletta of the Parliamentary Groups, via di Campo Marzio, 78 - Rome, the Municipal Waste Report - Edition 2018. The Conference was introduced by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea hon. Salvatore Micillo, the President of the Parliamentary Commission on illegal activities related to the waste cycle, Hon. Stefano Vignaroli and the President of  ISPRA and SNPA, dr. Stefano Laporta. The results of the Report was presented by the Director of the National Center for Waste Cycle of ISPRA, Rosanna Laraia. The conclusions will be entrusted by Alessandro Bratti, ISPRA General Director.

Today was  held in Rome the conference "Environmental damage: prevention and repair in a network system" organized by ISPRA  to provide a useful contribution to the topic and to propose a technical-scientific point of view to the operators of the sector and legislator. The meeting's objective, in particular, is to bring together the subjects involved in the environmental damage compensation procedures (ex sixth part of Legislative Decree 152/2006) to share experiences and deal with emerging issues: the definition of a procedure for environmental damage actions ; the insurance coverage of the damage; assessment criteria and criteria for the repair of environmental damage.

ScienzaInsieme ends today, this evening at the National Laboratory Center of Castel Romano will take place the event Laboratori under the stars: "aperiscienza" with ISPRA researchers in which will participate the President, Stefano Laporta and the Under-Secretary for Ministry of Environment, Salvatore Micillo .

Starting at 6 pm, it will be possible to visit the laboratories, see experiments and technological tools,scientific videos and  interact actively with the researchers who will be the guides for the different activities.
The ISPRA laboratories carry out research and experimentation activities aimed at protecting water, protecting the atmospheric environment, soil, subsoil, biodiversity and fauna and integrating physical, chemical, biological, geological and engineering skills.

The Report on the urban environment quality has reached the XIV edition. Produced by National System for Environmental - SNPA, it has consolidated over the years as a reference for experts and users. The 2018 edition  updates for 120 Italian cities, including the 14 metropolitan cities, a set of key indicators for the analysis of the environmental quality of cities and for the assessment of the life quality of Italian urban areas. Many topics o dealt with the urban and metropolitan contexts: social and economic factors, soil and territory, green infrastructures, water, air pollution and climate change, industrial activities, transport and mobility, exposure to electromagnetic and acoustic pollution, actions and tools for local sustainability.

ISPRA will presents the new data on soil consumption in Italy and the 2019 edition of the Report of the National System for Environmental Protection. With a 180% increase in soil consumption from the 1950s to the present, the natural surface in Italy is reducing every year, increasing the negative effects on the territory, environment and the landscape. The contribution of the research, in addition to monitoring the trend of the phenomenon and the related environmental damage, is important for new planning perspectives and to provide tools and criteria useful for sustainable planning of urban areas.

The Guarantee Unique Committee of ISPRA celebrates the 25th November, the International Day to eliminate violence against women proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations, with a morning of reflection on the topic.

The event,  accompanied by a reading course attended will include the intervention of writer Tea Ranno, Fabrizio D'Alessandri - founder of the Leggo Literature Contemporary Group, of Laura Moschini - University of Rome Tre, GIO - Interuniversity Observatory for Gender Studies and by Matteo Villanova, Roma Tre University, OLTREEE - Observatory Laboratory for the Protection of Emotional and Evolutive Age.

Ispa, as a partern of the LIFE MASTER ADAPT(MAinSTreaming Experiences at Regional and Local level for ADAPTation to climate change) project, organizes a workshop to spread the results,

The project, coordinated by the Autonomous Region of Sardegna and with the contribution of numerous other partners (Ambiente Italia, Coordinamento Agende 21 Locali Italiane, University of Sassari, Lombardia Foundation for the Environment, Lombardy Region and the University IUAV of Venice),  aims  m to develop an operational and integrated methodology so that Regions, metropolitan cities and city consortia can incorporate climate change adaptation into their plans and programs as a key element for their territory.

Final day: the results achieved

"16 projects of School-work alternative in ISPRA: students talk" is the title of the Conference that concludes the second year of the training courses about school-work that ISPRA, in cooperation with the schools, has developed and organized for the a. s. 2018/2019.

About 173 students were welcomed at the Institute, also in the office of Ozzano (Bologna) and Chioggia (Venice), for a total of about 700 hours of training and also in e-learning modality.
