Sewage sludge use in agriculture: land monitoring and control measures
Within the framework of a project promoted by ISPRA, the approaches to the use of urban sewage sludge in agriculture developed by three northern Italy regions, Emilia Romagna, Lombardia and Veneto, have been compared.
In particular, starting from the different law/regulation background, the control procedures elaborated by the three regions have been analyzed. The goal of the project is to define shared guidelines useful to improve control activities and to work out enhanced principles in view of the national and European legislation revision.
