Italian Greenhouse Gas Inventory 1990-2003

Following the ratification by Italy of the Kyoto Protocol, with the intent to develop programs aimed at monitoring and reducing greenhouse gas emissions resulting from human activities, was prepared a National Plan of Action adopted by the Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE). The Plan provides, among other things, the development of an "inventory" of data that is updated annually. This report provides an analysis of the main greenhouse gas emissions in Italy in the period between 1990 and 2003.
