Call EuropeAid in Urban Development and Dialogue
The restricted call for proposals for co-financing of the EC under
the program "Cooperation in Urban Development and Dialogue"
recently published on the European Commission site, expires on
February 27th, 2009
The general objective is to promote mutual understanding, dialogue
and cooperation between local actors in the EU and in the partner
countries of the neighbourhood region (ENPI region) through the
provision of capacity building for the modernization and
strengthening of local and regional governments. The specific
objective is to improve local and regional government capacities in
the fields of use of good governance principles and sustainable,
integrated and long-term urban development planning.
The environmental themes for the proposals are: environmental
sustainability and energy efficiency (EE); sustainable economic
development and reduction of social disparities; good governance
and sustainable urban development planning.
The call is divided in three lots:
Lot 1 (5.500.000 €): Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon,
Morocco, Syria, occupied Palestinian territory, Tunisia
Lot 2 (3.500.000 €): Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldavia, Russian Federation, Ukraine
Lot 3 (2.000.000 €): min. one country of the region South and min. one country of the region East.
