PanAfGeo-2

"PanAfGeo-2", acronym of "Pan-African Support to the EuroGeoSurveys - Organization of African Geological Surveys (EGS-OAGS) Partnership", constitutes the second phase of the project which includes a series of training courses for the technical-scientific staff of African Geological Services on issues relating to Geosciences. Theoretical-practical training courses, in the classroom and on the ground, are held in various African countries by scientific experts from European and African geological services. The activities of PanAfGeo-2 will contribute to the strengthening of governance and sustainable management of mineral resources within the Africa-EU partnership.

ISPRA, Department for the Geological Survey of Italy, is mainly involved in the 'Geohazards and Environmental Management of Mines' activity in cooperation with the Geological Services of Lithuania (LTG), Poland (PGI), Slovenia (GeoZS) and South Africa (CGS ).
