Management of the big carnivorans in Trentino
Ispra included in the joint work for the management of the big carnivorans in the region of Trentino.
Last night a meeting held at the headquarter of the Ministry of Environment with the minister Costa, the president of the province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti together with by the Councilor for Agriculture Giulia Zanotelli and the head of the forestry body Romano Masè.
“We have agreed that a scientific joint work will be opened between the Ministry, Ispra with the agency system and the autonomous province of Trento, which will allow us to have a general frame of the knowledge situation from a scientific point of view. The target is to find together a way for the management of fauna, mitigation and coexistence with human being. Concerning the issue about the bears M49 and JJ4, we appreciated the President Fugatti's willingness to find shared solutions that do not include the option of culling and that take into account any existing anthropic status. The decision of not killing as a fixed point is certainly an important result".
