Microfacies and microfossils of the Mesozoic carbonate successions of the Central Appennino
Rome, October 27-28
Rome, October 27-28, ISPRA, Via Curtatone 3
The
course aims to define the current platform environments as a basis
for a more detailed reconstruction of the fossils platforms. Facies
of different depositional paleoenvironments of the Mesozoic,
studied in the Central Apennino, will be exposed. Particular
attention will be given to the relationship between microfacies and
microfossils and their recognition for applicative purposes,
providing a practical tool for those working on the territory and
especially for those who deal with the geological survey. The
training activity consists of two days of lectures. The course is
addressed primarily to researchers and geologists of the Geological
Surveys, of the Regional and Provincial Environmental Agencies, of
other public institutions and to university students, for a maximum
of 50/60 people.
A certificate of participation will be released and the Order of
Geologists is evaluating the opportunity to recognize credits for
professional upgrading.
