Workshop
The town of Turin hosts in the days 23 and 24 September the visit
of the European Environment Agency (EEA), the Italian Ministry for
the Environment and the Protection of Land and Sea and of ISPRA
representatives. The event is organized by the National Focal Point
(NFP) of EIONET, in collaboration with the EEA and with the SINAnet
Regional Focal Point of Piedmont, to promote and discuss the
EU initiative called SEIS (Shared Enviromental Information System).
The initiative is part of a program of visits planned by EEA in all
the member states, to give more information on SEIS, talk about the
benefits of a Shared Enviromental Information System with all data
managers and to reach a common vision about it. At the end of the
workshop a report will be released (Country Report) to analyze the
advancement of the different national Information Systems and the
capability of the country to respond to SEIS demands. The
participation of ISPRA sub-commissioner, Emilio Santori, is in
schedule.
