i-WaveNET
The aim of the i-waveNET project, which involves Italy and Malta, is to develop of a cross-border monitoring network based on the integration of different measurement technologies such as: HF radars, seismic and sea level sensors, wave buoys, weather stations.
The partnership is made up of the University of Palermo (project leader), the University of Catania, the University of Malta, ISPRA, INGV, CNR and Malta Marittima Agency. ISPRA, in particular, will deal with the strengthening of observation networks already operating in the Sicilian channel as well as with the installation of new observation systems.
A buoy in the framework of the IwaveNET Project has been activated off Marina di Ragusa
