Land protection to guarantee life - In L'Aquila the XI Catholic Forum Information

The capital of Abruzzo will host the traditional meeting organized by the Greenaccord association for the Catholic press. An event to explore the delicate connections between the protection of natural resources and the progress of humanity. A subject made even more topical by the Papa Francesco's Encyclical "Laudato si".
The four sessions (accredited by the Association of Journalists for the achievement of 14 professional credits required) will show the factors that endanger the proper use of natural resources, creating difficulties to thousands of small Italian farmers. National and global phenomena distortions that contribute to increase inequality and social problems, causing damages to the ecosystems. The congress will also address the topic of climate change and soil protection, and their relation with food production, proposing some practical solutions: traceability of products, kilometer zero industries, best practices of use of agricultural land. There will be presentations of several experts working for FAO, ISPRA, Euro-Mediterranean Centre on Climate Change, Coldiretti, Slow Food Study Center.
