Concordia: technicians at work for final operations
The work on board the Concordia continued throughout the night of July 14, after the wreck yesterday came back to float. The technicians anchored and stabilized the Concordia in order to continue the operations that allow floating of the ship and then the departure. The works will go on no stop for the lowering of caissons, which on the starboard side are not yet in place, and for placing the last chains. A job that should last 48 hours, two days to put the caissons in place. Between Wednesday and Thursday the Concordia will be ready for the floating. On our website ISPRA ISPRA TV the images of the researchers engaged in a continuous monitoring of the waters around the wreck.
