Charity opera concert to celebrate World Migratory Bird Day
ISPRA supports the organization of a charity opera concert to celebrate the World Migratory Bird Day to be held on Saturday 11 May at 16.00. It is a global initiative. ten edition, implemented by the Bonn Convention on migratory species CMS and the AEWA Agreement on Afro-Eurasian aquatic migratory birds to raise awareness on conservation issues for migratory birds.
In the last 7 years the Corale Lirica San Rocco of the Circolo Lirico Bolognese has offered, both in Bonn and in Bologna, charity concerts on the occasion of this annual celebration.
This year the concert will be held in Rome, in the prestigious headquarters of Palazzo Rospigliosi, Via XXIV Maggio, 43, at the end of the joint meeting of the Bern and Bonn Conventions on illicit bird damage (illegal killing) provided, on days 8-10 May, at the Presidential Estate of Castelporziano, thanks to the support offered by the Quirinale and the Ministry of the Environment. At the meeting will participate representatives from 25 European and Mediterranean countries, international organizations and non-governmental associations. During the event, the extension of the Tunis Action Plan against poaching will be discussed as a priority.
