ISPRA in RemTech Expo 2024

From 18 to 20 September the XVIII Edition of RemTech Expo will be held in Ferrara, the Environmental Technological Hub specialized in the themes of restoration, regeneration and sustainable development of territories. This year too ISPRA will participate in numerous meetings.
There are ten segments that make up the event: REMTECH and REMTECH EUROPE remediation of contaminated sites, COAST coastal protection, ports, sustainability, ESONDA hydrogeological instability, floods, landslides, CLIMETECH climate change, mitigation, adaptation, GEOSISM seismic risk, prevention, reconstruction , INERTIA sustainable works materials, circular economy, RIGENERACITY urban regeneration, CHEMTECH innovative and sustainable chemical industry and FIRE prevention-innovation-research, fire prevention and safety of the Italian Cultural Heritage - and a special HUTTE segment dedicated to the themes of sustainability and integral well-being .

Meetings on the E.I.A. Points of view on environmental impact assessment

The podcast developed by ISPRA will be presented in September to tell citizens about the construction of large works (such as railways, motorways, ports, dams) in line with the protection of the environment and human health. Field interviews and informal conversations with evaluators, designers, clients and environmental associations to concretely talk about sustainable development in Italy.

The first episode is online from 4 September on the IspraVideo YouTube channel and on the main podcast platforms.

Summer school on Environmental Impact Assessment 2024: Biodiversity and Water

ISPRA, the University of Palermo, the Regional Agency for the Protection of the Environment of Sicily and the Municipality of Palermo are organizing the Summer School on Environmental Impact Assessment which will take place in Palermo from 10 to 14 June 2024.

This edition of the Summer School aims to be the beginning of a series of study and in-depth activities on issues relating to environmental assessments. In particular, the focus of this first edition will be the environmental components Biodiversity and Water.

EIA Pill No. 02 - Public participation in the EIA

With the "EIA Pill n.02 - Public participation in the EIA", the second informative video on the Environmental Impact Assessment, ISPRA continues the path in which it is committed to making the EIA known to citizens, as an effective tool for participation, transparency and protection of the environment and human health. We talk about direct participation tools and their contribution to evaluation procedures, based on citizens' right of access to environmental information. Ecomondo is the meeting and dialogue point between industries, stakeholders, policy makers, opinion leaders, local authorities and brings together the key elements that define the development strategies of the European Union's environmental policy.

ISPRA and ARPA Sardegna: joint inspection to verify the state of health of the replanting of Posidonia in Porto Torres

On May 18, the technicians of ISPRA and ARPA Sardegna were together in the Gulf of Asinara to monitor the manually transplanted Posidonia oceanica meadow. The transplant started in October 2022 and ended in March 2023, involving a final surface area of ​​11,500 m2 (7,000 m2 net). It is an environmental compensation work prescribed for the expansion works of the Civic Port of Porto Torres, by the VIA Decree n. 35 of 06/02/2018.

The public consultation on the National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change has started

The proposed Plan has been published on the portal of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, now open to contributions from citizens, communities and all public and private entities. The National Plan for Adaptation to Climate Change (PNACC) is a national planning tool to support national, regional and local institutions in identifying and choosing the most effective adaptation actions according to the level of government, the sector of intervention and of the specificities of the context, favoring the integration of adaptation criteria into planning processes and tools.

The management of odorous impacts - School odors 2022

The initiative is organized by Rse (Research on the Energy System) and the National System for the Protection of the Environment (SNPA), in collaboration with Uni, Accredia and Unichim and resumes the experiences and the path started in the past aimed at increasing knowledge in the management of odorous impacts.
The program includes 4 sessions, on the dates of 4-6-11-13 October, of which 3 are open to all the public and the last one is aimed exclusively at members of the SNPA system and the Public Administration.

Restoration, regeneration and recovery of the Country

Reflections and comparison on opportunities, innovations, experiences, skills, public-private relationship
From 8 to 10 September will held on the Polvese Island an event dedicated to sustainability through meetings, paths, projects, workshops, music, books, theater and much more. The event "Restoration, Regeneration, Recovery of the Country. Reflections and discussion on Opportunities, Innovations, Experiences, Skills, Public-Private Relations" organized with the collaboration and presence of RemTech Expo is on the agenda on 9 September at 3.00 pm.

Presentation of the SOER 2020, Environmental Data Yearbook and System Reports

The next 3 June, in video streaming with the Italian PM Giuseppe Conte, and David Sassoli, President of the European Parliament, will be presented the three reports dedicated to the environmental situation in Europe and in Italy: the SOER 2020 (State of the Environment Report), the Environmental Data Yearbook 2019 which shows the state of the environment in Italy and the System Report which presents regional experiences.
