In the interventions of the Institute's researchers, and during the guided tour in the ISPRA Library, the students were shown many examples of geological and geothematic cartography which are part of the cartographic collections, a precious part of the Institute's heritage, which includes possession of over 52,000 cards.

A focus was also made on the national geological cartography project at the 1:50,000 scale (CARG project) through which it was possible to illustrate the flow of activities for the creation of a geological map starting from the geological survey on the ground, the processing scientific, the information system associated with cartography, for data management, up to the cartographic preparation and printing of the geological map
