7th Biannual ECOtoxicology MEeting (BECOME 2016)
The 7th Biannual ECOtoxicology MEeting (BECOME 2016) (Livorno, 22-24 November 2016), has been quite successful, with the presentation of 75 contributions (40 and 35 poster communications) and more than 200 attendees during the 3 days The sessions were: Bioconcentration and Bioaccumulation of pollutants contaminants in organisms; and role of ecotoxicology in environmental quality assessment; Assessment of treated (waste)water, soil and sediment: how technologies and industrial processes perform about toxicity?; Emerging contaminants (e.g. microplastics and pharmaceuticals and personal care products) and materials’ ecosafety (e.g. engineered nanomaterials); Environmental Risk Assessment; New Frontiers in ecotoxicological investigations.We report the proceedings of the workshop, composed of extended abstracts authorized for publication by the authors.
