Selection announcement for multinational research projects
in the prevention of floods
The development of the
European Research Area Network takes place within the initiatives
of the European union Sixth Frame Program of Technological Research
and Development (FP6), with the purpose to support the
collaboration and the coordination of the research programs at a
trans-national level.
The European union finances different research activities within
the ERA-Net, among which the project ERA-Net CRUE (Coordination de
la Recherche financée par l’Union Européenne),
devoted to the strategic integration of the research on the flood
risk management inside Europe. For further information it is

The project CRUE members are the financing national bodies of the
public environmental research - Ministries of Environment and
Agriculture, Environment Protection Agencies, Public Research
Bodies - reunited in an European consortium, of which APAT is
part.
CRUE-ERANET launches the second announcement of multinational
competition "2nd ERA-Net CRUE Funding Initiative: Flood resilient
communities - managing the consequences of flooding", with a total
budget determined on the basis of the contribution of the following
involved Countries: Austria, Flanders, Finland, France, Germany,
England and Wales, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland
and Spain (http://www.crue-eranet.net/calls.asp).
Apat, Agency for the Protection of the environment and for the
Technical Services, finances the initiative with a general
contribution of € 50.000, addressed to Italian subjects whose
research activities will fall within the projects admitted to the
financing.
