Days of Geology and History
The Department for the Geological Service of Italy - ISPRA, the Italian Geographic Society and SIGEA Asp propose a study day, divided into two sessions. The first session is entitled "The biggest natural phenomena that changed history" and the second session "Seas, coasts, maritime infrastructures: landscape evolution and historical transformations"

This day is the fifth and last of the second cycle of the "Study Days of Geology and History", seminars that took place between 2021 and 2022. These events were organized to disseminate Earth Sciences and Geo-humanistic Sciences , and take stock of the state of knowledge regarding natural hazards, major catastrophic events and the research carried out in this area through multidisciplinary studies of geology, archeology and history.
The topics addressed in this study day will be the correlations between catastrophic natural events, hydrogeological instability, climatic variations and the course of historical events. The second session will talk about the evolution of the landscape, the coastline and the historical transformations of the towns and port areas.
It will be discussed on 15 December 2022 on a day that will be an opportunity to confront the scientific world and focus on the importance of the multidisciplinary nature of geo-humanistic, geo-archaeological, geo-anthropological research, as well as on the importance of multidisciplinary research in order to to provide a comprehensive study of natural phenomena.
To send contributions, oral communications (carried out in person) or only written (articles that will be published in the volume dedicated to this day), it will be necessary to fill in the appropriate form, attach a summary of 2000 characters (spaces included) as well as an image (300 dpi) and send them to: geostoria@isprambiente.it no later than October 15, 2022
