The contribution of biostratigraphy to Geological Cartography

Rome, June 17-18, Ispra, Fazzini hall, via Curtatone 3 The event is marked by the presentation of the volume n. LXXXIV of the Memorie Descrittive della Carta Geologica d'Italia: "Micropalaeontological and biostratigrafical research on the Mesozoic of the Latium-Abruzzi carbonate platform (Central Italy)", by a seminar about the applications of topics covered during the presentation of the volume and by a field trip. The idea is to make known the results of scientific knowledge about the Mesozoic through the carbonate platform, and to support and revitalize the role of palaeontology and stratigraphy as disciplines which are still useful in the field of Earth Sciences.
