Emissions Trading Registry of Italy

Pursuant to Legislative Decree 47/2020 (art. 34.2), ISPRA is the national administrator of the Italian section of the Union Registry (as per EU Regulation no. 2019/1122) and of the Kyoto national Registry (as per EU Regulation no. 389/2013). Since the two registries share the same access point, they are altogether referred to as the Italian Registry for Emissions Trading.

The Registry administrator is responsible for the opening, updating and closing of accounts, for the free allocation of allowances, for data checks, for the suspension of access to accounts; the administrator also provides for the implementation of the provisions of the competent authority (Comitato ETS) and assistance to the Registry users.

Since December 2023, all the information available on this page has been transferred to a new website named ARIET (https://ariet.isprambiente.it). In addition to the usual contents, the website allow for communication on the web with the Registry administrator to request information, technical assistance or to open procedures concerning the accounts in the Registry. Therefore, it is no longer permitted to contact the administrator or to send documentation via e-mail, as previously indicated in the former Procedures (no longer applicable at present).
