Towards a national plan of biodiversity monitoring: the manuals for species and habitats of Community Interest
Rome, 19-20 October
The commitments arising from EU directives impose on our country the implementation of specific actions to protect the natural environment. In particular the Habitats Directive requires the preparation of periodic reports based on data from the monitoring of species and habitats listed in the annexes of this Community law. This task requires a significant commitment from the Ministry of Environment, Regions and Autonomous Provinces, national Protected Areas. In this regard, ISPRA has been providing for years technical and scientific support to the national and local authorities.
