Information system for the environmental monitoring of offshore sand deposits in coastal protection projects: env_Sand geodatabase

In this volume we present the "env_Sand" geodatabase that has been developed in the framework of a collaboration between CNR-ISMAR and ISPRA. It is specific for the management of data collected for environmental characterization and monitoring studies related to relict sand dredging for beach nourishment. In particular, env_Sand is a tool for data storage, organization and management, and it represents an efficient instrument to support Administrations involved in the planning and management of offshore sand dredgings, with specific reference to the environmental assessment.
