From Paris Conference:

During the Conference in Paris, 11 Countries (included Italy) will allocate  248 million dollars in less developed Countries to face climate adaptation. The Italian Ministry of the Environment has allocated  2 million dollars by the end of 2015 and he said Italy will increase this amount next years.

Statement of the Prime Minister Mr. Matteo Renzi, based on ISPRA data: "Italy has reduced emissions greenhouse by 23% since 1990 and has an investment plan for 4 billion dollars from here to 2020. Italy is doing its part”.

Almost all greenhouse gas emissions are decreased. CO2: in 23 years 84 million tons less. In Italy, in 2013, total emissions of greenhouse gases, expressed in CO2 equivalents, decreased by 6.7% over the previous year and 16.1% compared to 1990, the year of reference. Between 1990 and 2013 total emissions of greenhouse gases were reduced from 521 million to 437 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent.

In the same periof of time 1990-2013, there are teh following values:

  • Energy production and transport sectors : which contribuite to half of total national emission of greenhouse gases : + 0.2%.;
  • Emissions of energetic industries - 21.9% ;
  • Residential and services sectors + 9.4%;
  • Manufacturing industry sector: - 42.0%;
  • Industrial processes sector: - 24.1%;
  • Agriculture sector: - 14.9%;
  • Waste management and treatment: - 20.5

The 21st Session XXI edition of the session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP21/CMP11), otherwise known as “Paris 2015” will bring together delegates representing each country, observers, and civil society members.The target is the aim is to reach, for the first time, a universal, legally binding agreement that will enable us to combat climate change effectively and boost the transition towards resilient, low-carbon societies and economies.
