The Geological Survey of Italy - ISPRA in collaboration with the Department of Earth Sciences, University "La Sapienza" of Rome, the Italian Geological Society and the Order of Geologists of Lazio, is organizing a Seminary that will occur in October 1st to 3th, 2013. It will concern the presentation of the book "Microfacies and microfossils of the Mesozoic carbonate successions of Lazio and Abruzzo (central Italy) - Cretaceous" by CHIOCCHINI M., PAMPALONI ML, PICHEZZI RM (published into “Memorie per Servire alla Descrizione della Carta Geologica d'Italia”), and will include a geological excursion in the areas of Sheet 367 Tagliacozzo and Sheet 348 Antrodoco.
The event is aimed to those carrying out activities in the field of stratigraphy and paleontology, with particular reference to the study of Mesozoic carbonate platform succession, to those engaged in geological survey, students of Geological Sciences and of Natural Science and to all those interested in the subject.
