All more responsible for seas and oceans

The events that MARINA and ResponSEAble, 2 projects of the H2020 research projects, will organize from 18 to 20 March in Bruxelles, in cooperation with the European Parliament,  European Commission aim to contribute for a  more sustainable management of seas and oceans, thanks to a better sharing of responsibility among all stakeholders: policy makers, representatives of civil society, the scientific community, stakeholders and  citizens.

The MARINA project that includes ISPRA as a partner, which is responsible for involving policy-makers in implementing the concept of responsible research and innovation (RRI) applied to blue growth, and the ResponSeable project that has supported a more widespread scientific knowledge concerning themes about  sea and oceans, will present in an interactive way the results achieved and will promote their manifesto of ideas and actions for the future.

The conference of 18-19 March includes sessions on sustainable tourism, marine pollution, oceans as sources of food, maritime transport, scientist citizens for the sea and a session dedicated to young people and their scientific training. The day after, 20 March, at the European Parliament  will take place an event involving the SEARICA  the UNESCO intergovernmental commission on the ocean.
