Concluded the COP28 in Dubai
The United Nations Climate Conference in Dubai (COP28) closed on Wednesday 13 December with an agreement approved in the plenary session, with the aim of maintaining the commitment to limit the increase in global temperature to within 1.5 °C.
Published the report "Tools for the implementaton of national priority criteria for ranking potentially contaminated sites"
The current Report illustrates the first part of the phase 2 activities leading to the definition of the tools for the application, in the different territorial areas, of the priority criteria identified for potentially contaminated sites. Specifically, this document describes the updated version of the criteria and the related software ROCKS (Risk Ordering for Contamination Key Sites), developed by ISPRA to facilitate the data uploading and the identification of the Relative Risk Index for each site under evaluation.

Position paper “Green infrastructures in cities ten years after the law on urban green spaces"
On 19 December, the Position paper " Green infrastructures in cities ten years after the law on urban green space s" was released, developed by the ASviS working group on Goal 11 "Sustainable cities and communities ". Ten years after the approval of law n.10 "Regulations for the development of urban green spaces", a "profound turning point" is needed in Italian policies for greenery and biodiversity. Despite the spread of awareness of the importance of urban greenery among local administrations, there has not in fact been an increase in green areas, nor has adequate urban planning been adopted to protect the natural heritage.

The objective of this workshop is to examine the possibilities of implementation and integration in the forestry sector of the most recent proximal and remote remote sensing applications, in order to contribute to making the management of forests and wood plantations more efficient, both from an economic and environmental. In this perspective, the meeting is proposed as an educational-informative moment and analysis of the state of the art in Italy and aims to highlight the main results transferable to stakeholders following the research and development actions conducted on this topic in Italy, also in the perspective of the requests and opportunities outlined by the forestry measures of the new Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.
Nature Map published: document to support the drafting of technical specifications for the realization and updating of regional habitat maps
On the SNPA website is on-line the technical publication " Carta della Natura: documento a supporto della redazione di capitolati tecnici per la realizzazione e l’aggiornamento delle carte degli habitat regionali ". This publication was realized to facilitate and set up, on common technical bases and operational proposals, the participation of ARPA/APPA and/or Regions interested in the creation and updating of the Nature Map in their respective territories.

Stop pesticides on the dish is the annual report that Legambiente prepares to take stock of the situation on pesticides present in the foods that arrive on the tables of Italians every day. An overview which, again this year, has returned a picture of light and shadow. To clarify the current situation and identify paths through which to reduce the use of pesticides, experts, representatives from the world of research, university professors and doctors were involved in drafting the report.
