The conference is organized by Abdus Salam International Centre for
Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and Regional Agency for the
Environmental Protection of Friuli Venezia Giulia (ARPA FVG), with
the support of ESSL (European Severe Storms Laboratory), EMS
(European Meteorological Society), UMFVG (Meteorological Union of
the Friuli Venezia Giulia).
It will regard all the aspects related to extreme climatic
phenomena. Among the topics treated there will be: satellite
information; radar information; global warming and climatic
changes; social, economic and cultural aspects. Some case studies
will be illustrated. Researchers and scientists from all over the
world are encouraged to participate, in particular those from
developing countries are welcome.
