Starting from the experience of the Citizen science RiVe project, in which the Network collaborates in the publication of monitoring data, the meeting aims to raise awareness among participants on the ecological significance of riparian vegetation in local river environments and to raise awareness of the importance that these environments cover.
The meeting develops through a walk of approximately two hours along the Aniene Valley Reserve during which ISPRA experts will lead the participants to discover the flora and fauna of the visited environment, including the avifauna and information will be provided about the main European Union instruments for the conservation of biodiversity.
Participants will be invited to send images of flora and fauna of the environment visited through the use of the iNaturalist App and the link to the City Nature Challenge 2024: ROME project, thus contributing to the increase in the number of reports coming from the City area Metro of Rome Capital participating in the international competition.
The event is open to all upon registration by 24 April 2024
