Criteria for the development of diffuse pollution management plans

These guidelines deal with the actions to be accomplished by regional authorities when facing diffuse contamination of soil and groundwater, as ruled by national act (art. 239 of Legislative Decree no. 152/06). The main objective is to outline the criteria for: i) the identification (characterization and delimitation) of areas affected by diffuse pollution; ii) the consequent managerial paths shared by the relevant health and environmental authorities.
